Lapland’s idyllic fell atmosphere
Pororavintola Kopara sits in a truly enchanting spot between Pyhä and Luosto, right along both the ski and snowmobile routes. You can reach us easily by car as well. From our window tables, you’ll enjoy the area’s only completely unobstructed view toward the ancient fell chain that has watched over this land for thousands of years.
Every day we’re open, we serve our famous Kopara reindeer soup, slow-cooked on the bone for its rich, comforting flavor. And from early February onward, our menu is joined by traditional sautéed reindeer – “käry” – made from carefully selected reindeer that graze freely in the wild. We bake most of our sweet and savory pastries ourselves; our blueberry pie and freshly brewed pot coffee have become beloved favorites among skiers stopping by for a rest.
Our cozy courtyard, nestled in the heart of nature, is shared with Poropuisto Kopara and the Arctic Husky Farm. So in addition to a good meal or a warm cup of coffee, you can meet Arctic animals up close or head out on an unforgettable safari. In the evenings, our space transforms into a private restaurant tailored to the wishes of groups. In the same yard stands the authentic and inviting Porokämppä, where we host atmospheric evening gatherings and events built around the glow of an open fire.
At the Pororavintola Kopara gift shop, you’ll find a curated selection of high-quality, Lapland-themed Finnish products, including reindeer hides and antlers, knives, belts, hats, mittens, tableware, and jewelry.
